Bostället (eng)
The Bostället got its name from the fact that it was a ”priest’s residence”. It was built when the first tenant came here in the early 19th century. The family that ran the priest’s farm usually lived here. The last people to live at Bostället were Henning Johansson and his sons George, Helge and Folke. In the 1950s, the house was perceived as outdated and the brothers built a new house next door. On the property there is also the old farm house. Today, it can help us understand how maids and servants might have felt, at the time when they had to live with their employer and received most of their wages in the form of goods and benefits. The barn burned down in the 1980s. Today the house is a small school museum.
