Målilla mechanical workshop
Målilla mechanical workshop consists of eight buildings and culturally historically interesting machines. The archive contains office documents and drawings from 1907 – 1992. The office has been preserved and furnished in period style from the 1940s. The company was founded in 1907 by Carl August Alm – who designed new engines and various machines himself. Many sawmills in the area bought his engines. Alm bought a gas plant and installed electric light in his home in 1911. It was the first house with electric light in the entire parish.
