Hultsfreds-Hus
The wooden ready-made houses from Hultsfreds-Hus were marketed through attractive house catalogues, with pictures of the ideal everyday life. Now all villas had modern conveniences that were often lacking in pre-mid-20th century homes; central heating, bathroom, wardrobes, modern kitchen with running hot and cold water and an electric stove. Houses in the past often had a drawing room, mainly reserved for special festivities. In contrast to that the new houses “living room” could be used every day. The fact that many families could afford to buy a television also contributed to gatherings in the living rooms.
